Machine drying is acceptable for some toys. However, it is not always the ideal solution because many plush toys include glued-in or plastic pieces that may not withstand the high temperatures of the dryer. You should utilize the no or low-heat option on your machine if you decide to machine dry a plush animal. However, air drying plush toys is preferable because fur can become burnt when dried in a hot dryer; put the toy near a fan or a dehumidifier to expedite drying time and ensure that the interior filling does not retain water throughout the drying process. A hairdryer set on low or medium heat can be used to restore the fluffiness of a toy that has been matted after being washed and dried.
